Open Letter to Potential Sponsors

Dear Area Businesses:

The Inner Edge Synchronized Ice Skating Teams of Knoxville, Tennessee would like to request your support for the 2008/2009 skating season.

Synchronized Ice Skating is a team sport that involves 8-16 skaters performing various moves on the ice, in unison, to a program of music. Teams can be made up of many different ages and skill levels, and the Inner Edge Teams include skaters ages 5-65. Modern synchronized skating is now a major competitive skating discipline with thousands of athletes participating all over the world. For more information, see About Synchronized Skating.

By sponsoring the Inner Edge Synchronized Skating Teams your business will be recognized as a supporter of the Inner Edge through different avenues depending on the level of sponsorship. Knoxville and the surrounding areas will benefit from your support because when you give financially, you are creating community goodwill as well as investing in the future of our skaters. As the teams participate in competitions and events in the community and the broader Synchronized Skating community, the name of sponsoring businesses will be displayed as a supporter on the team banner, tee shirts, and at the practice facility (see levels of giving). The athletes of the Inner Edge Teams will also benefit from your support by being given the opportunity to be a part of a unique team sport that encourages teamwork, growth as an athlete, and growth as an individual.

Synchronized Skating is a unique sport that is growing worldwide. However, costs for ice time, costumes, coaches, and competitions are not insignificant. The Inner Edge is a new organization and is striving to grow and increase in numbers, and we want to be able to include people who are interested in the sport but who don't have the financial resources to participate without community support. The sponsorship support raised will apply directly to help defray the expenses of our skaters.

Levels of Sponsorship

Platinum ($500 & above):

Recognition on the Inner Edge Website;
Business logo on Inner Edge Team Banner displayed at the Icearium and at competitions;
Business logo & name imprinted on the Inner Edge T-shirt;
Access to the Inner Edge marketing display at Cool Sports where your Business will be able to display brochure and or business cards (600-1000 impressions a week), and will receive recognition in any publications created for the Inner Edge during the season.

Gold ($300 - $499):

Recognition on the Inner Edge Website;
Business logo on Inner Edge Team Banner displayed at the Icearium and at competitions;
Business logo & name imprinted on the Inner Edge T-shirt; and
Access to the Inner Edge marketing display at Cool Sports where your Business will be able to display brochure and or business cards (600-1000 impressions a week), and will receive recognition in any publications created for the Inner Edge during the season.

Silver ($150 - $299):

Recognition on the Inner Edge Website;
Business logo on Inner Edge Team Banner displayed at the Icearium and at competitions; and
Business logo & name imprinted on the Inner Edge T-shirt;

Honorable ($24 - $149):

Recognition on the Inner Edge Website; and
Business logo on Inner Edge Team Banner displayed at the Icearium and at competitions.

Additional Opportunities

The Inner Edge is also looking for donations in the following areas. If you think you might be interested in providing one of the items below rather than a monetary donation, please email Nadia or call at (865) 218-4500 ext 228.

Gift Cards for your business
Practice Uniforms (12-30 matching practice uniforms in a variety of sizes, including items such as quick drying long sleeve shirts, fleece pull-over shirts, and dance pants).
Make-up (make-up that will be used for exhibitions and competitions throughout the season).
